Nature Walk

We had a change from our usual woodland walk today & went to our local park. As we entered the gate, lying on the grass in front of us was a birds nest! A perfect little creation, just sitting there before us. E requested that we could take it to put on our nature table, so we carried it (carefuly!) with us.
As we made our way toward the pond to feed the ducks, we were greeted by a gaggle of Canadian geese, trotting along the footpath. They were the recipients of most of the french loaf we had brought along with us, taking it from our hands.
We had a lovely time this morning. Running with our dog, playing on the swings (yes, *all* of us!) examining buds on a tree we werent familiar with....the girls even had an icecream from the tea shop!
Life is truly blessed by simple pleasures.

Gosh, you must have been well wrapped up!
Someone made the executive decision to only put on half the heating in our chapel this morning, and I reckon it would have been a bit nippy for Canada Geese in there!
Lovely photo :0)

Have a wonderful first day back at school. You haven't posted about how you're going with AO for a while...good I hope.

We are not back at home for another week - I'll email you when we have access!!

Aren't simple pleasures the best...I love nature walks!!

We also had a lovely winter walk today; we wrapped up VERY well and enjoyed the sights of winter - our favourite one was a robin sat on a fence...but I also forgot my camera!!

Ice cream in the cold is something only children can truly appreciate. Lol!

What a great winter walk you had.I love to see families making time for nature even when the weather doesn't seem to cooperate. We can always find something of interest if we look for it. :)

I was happy to see your comment on my blog today and decided to pop over and see what you were up to. Lots of good things. I loved reading your post with your "goals" and they inspired me.

Have a great week,
