Some Knitting....

A little knitting chat...
Here are some rainbow socks i recently finished for E.

I had also planned to knit the girls some special socks for Easter. I finished R's socks in time..you can just see them peaking out here:

But, E's socks are still a WIP, I'm afraid!

I had also hoped to knit the girls their own Easter bunnies. Again, I only had one ready in time!
Here is Hop, who belongs to E. Will cast on bunny no.2 for Miss R, when I have finished the Easter socks!

I knit Hop with the help of this pattern & this book.

I would love to see what you are knitting. Please leave me a link in the comments, if you have any pictures to share.

You are so clever and talented with this! I'm knitting some nice blue dishclothes from some multi blue cotton yarn I got in the states to match my kitchen. I'm also working on some new scarves for my boys for next winter. I'm sticking to things that are flat and straight I'm afraid. I did a jumper for me once and it drove me crazy! I did more unraveling and redoing that actual knitting!!!! I finished it because I wouldn't let it beat me but it was NOT a fun or enjoyable experience for me at least! Your things are simply lovely though. - Deedee

thanks Deedee. I havent ever knit a sweater! I like the portability of small projects & the fact that I can use lovely yarns that I wouldnt be able to afford for a larger project. I admire that you completed the sweater!!!!

I'm knitting some socks with yarn that I thought would be sort of variegated but has ended up in rather strange stripes.
It's not encouraging!

Great socks Lynn! I liked the colours. Thank you so much for sharing the pictures.
Have you ever tried dyeing your own yarn? I did that with the children (using Kool-Aid) and then knit up their dyed wool into socks for them. I should maybe put that up on my craft pages!!

funny you should mention that, Julie ;)
i began spinning today & hope to let the kids dye the yarn with Kool aid my friend gave me..they can make their own colours. Please do put up a page about it!

Wow! I spin too!! And spinning for socks is the best!
Have you seen The Twisted Sisters Sock Book - I highly recommend it - the dyeing information is wonderful.

I love the socks. Wish I had a pair. I picked up a book on knitting so maybe I will get someone to help me. It looks like a lot of fun.
