Gail

Gail is finished!

Here it is being blocked:

And here it is being modeled by the lovely Elianna

The yarn is Alpamayo Sockweight - 80% Superfine Alpaca and 20% Silk from Woolhunter

Rosie picked out some sunny yellow tissue paper to wrap it in & it will soon be delivered to it's new owner, my wonderful mother-in-law, in time for her to take it into hospital to hopefuly bring a little home comfort as she goes in for her op.

OMG LYNN!!!!! It is absolutely beautiful! What do you mean, you are more of a beginner?!? Yikes! It is really gorgeous and you finished it so quickly! I'm so impressed! I'm sure your MIL will absolutely love it and it will so help her go through her surgery. Please keep me posted on it. Great job!

Wow! When you said you were making that amazingly difficult looking shawl I didn't realise yours was going to be so brilliant! Well done! You are very talented!

My goodness, didn't you just start that shawl less than two weeks ago?! I must be a super slow knitter because it takes me months to finish anything lace weight like that.

I cast on on new years eve. I am amazed at how quickley this has knit up - but then I did use sock yarn, not lace weight.

The shawl is absolutely stunning, how long have you been knitting for? One day I would love to knit a shawl but aat the moment I'm hooked on knitting socks.

Hello Helen!
I started to knit this time last year - between christmas & new year. My first project was a pair of socks.
I had been put off Gail, because lots of comments on Ravelry said how difficult the chart was, but I came across the 'unchart' which was brilliant.
I you decide to have a go, do let me know if I can help at all.

Wow Lynn, this is so beautiful. I am totally awed. I have stuck to my word and started knitting but I'm having my usual problem with tension and patience. To think I might be able create something so beautiful is very inspiring.
You are very talented, your perfectionism is paying off in this department ;) I'll be thinking of your MIL X

Thank you Sarah *blush*
OCD certainly comes in useful, every now & then ; )
Good for you keeping up the knitting

Thank you!
I have just posted a brand new post. We have had a fair bit of illness & my uncle has passed away. I have been very tired.
Thank you for asking, it is nice to be missed : )
